Our Star of the Week

Murph was the "Star of the Week". He enjoyed sharing his favorite book with the class. We found out a lot about Murph when he shared his poster with the class. Here are some pictures of his fun week!

Star of the Week

Dear Families,
We will be starting "Star of the Week" soon.  I will be sending this information and the "My Favorites" page home with your child 2-3 weeks before they are "Star of the Week".  I wanted to post the information on my blog in case you wanted to know what your child will be doing when they are "Star of the Week".
 Star of the Week
Show-N-Tell
& Poster

Show-n-tell items:
Please have your child bring 5 show and tell items.  All items should fit in a small plastic shopping bag.  Show-n-tell items will be returned by the end of your child’s star week.  Your child will share the items throughout the week.

Poster:
Along with the show and tell items, please create a poster of your child.  This could be family, baby, and/or current pictures of your child.   The poster should help us get to know your child better.  Go over the poster with your child so it will be comfortable for them to share with the class.  Please include the “My Favorites” page as part of your poster.

Favorite  Book:
To help celebrate your child’s special week as “Star of the Week,” we would like them to bring in one of their favorite books to share with the class.  You may send it to school on the Monday they bring in their poster and show-n-tell, so that it’s here at school when your child shares their poster with the class.  Happy Reading!!!

Something Special to Share with the class:
Your child is more than welcomed to share a non-edible treat with the class (stickers, pencils, erasers, “Dollar Store items”, etc.) with the class.  This item can also be turned in at the beginning of the week.

We look forward to learning more about your “STAR.”
